CSCS Green Labourers Card
Get your CSCS Green Labourers Card from 1-2Call Worksafe
Why get a Green (Labourer) CSCS card? Have you decided about the trade you wish to study, or require some more construction experience? Obtaining this card will demonstrate that you have the health and safety knowledge required to be on site.
Do you already have a Green (Site Operative) CSCS Card that is coming up for renewal? The Construction Site Operative CSCS Card stopped being issued in July 2014 so you will not be able to renew it. CSCS has replaced it with this card, the Green (Labourer) CSCS Card which requires one of the courses below.
Do I qualify? You will need to provide evidence that you have achieved one of the following:
IOSH Working safely course.
QCF/SCQF Level 1 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.
One Day Site Safety Plus Health and Safety Awareness Course.
An in date recognised equivalent* – a list of equivalents can be viewed by entering “labourer” into Cardfinder at cscs.uk.com/card-finder
How long is it valid for? This card is valid for five years and can be renewed. During this time you may have decided what trade you would like to progress into.
What is the next step? If you have decided to progress more in the construction industry then you may wish to follow a specific trade such as bricklaying or carpentry etc, for which you can take a relevant NVQ and apply for a skilled worker CSCS card. If you are looking to renew the labourers card then we advise that you resit the IOSH Working Safely Course 6 months prior to applying.
1-2Call Worksafe are offering the IOSH Working Safely course recognised by CITB as one of the Health & Safety course qualifications needed to apply for the new Green Labourers CSCS Card.
